Argh, I'm frustrated. I just have to vent. I stubbed my toe in karate class, and I was rather klutzy besides, but the stubbed toe made it hard to stand on one foot and kick. It hurt more to stand on the stubbed toe than to kick with the stubbed-toe foot. This skinny teenage boy who I was training with can kick 3 times harder than me. He hits the pad, it goes THOMP! I hit the pad, it goes tap. And yet I still managed to stub the toe.
OK, whatever. At least I managed to break a board with a kick I never do tonight. Some kind of spinning wheel kick we were doing. I think I broke it on the time I lost my balance and fell into the board. Shh, don't tell my Sensei it wasn't on purpose. :-) And that was after the toe-stubbing, by the way.
Actually I've probably been getting core body strength with all this gardening I've been doing. At least I hope so. I keep having to hoist 40 lb. bags of aged manure around, and then I have sore muscles on days after I do a lot of digging and lifting. I don't see any end to the manure any time soon - I'm using it in homemade potting soil, and I'm trying to grow over 100 tomato plants in pots, plus I built 2 raised beds and a compost bin, and cut a tree up into pieces.
It just kind of bothers me not to be in top form. But it didn't bother me when I was sliding into this condition. It sort of snuck up on me. It took cover behind a pile of chocolate. I'm innocent, see! Me and my pal Mugsy!
